Some of my FAV movies.....
Ok, I'm a weirdo. I LOVE HORROR MOVIES!!! Horror movies R the best movies ever made. U can have your action, comedy and even your tear jerker films. GIVE ME GORE AND LOTS OF IT!!!!!!!! }:> I feel like "good" horror movies R a dying breed and that really makes my heart ache. They just don't make em' like they use to.
OLDIES BUT GOODIES!!!!!!!!
This is still one of my all time favorite horror movies. I still get the creeps when the last surviving girl is pulled under the water by a decaying, mangled Jason. I even got to B one of the lucky few to see this flick at the drive-in theatre. They just don't make em' like they use to.
A young girl is possesed by the devil and, ah-hem, all hell breaks loose. This is one of my favs too. The music really sets the mood for the movie by being beautiful and spooky all at the same time. I'm really excited about the re-release of it and can't wait to see the EXTRA NEVER B4 SEEN FOOTAGE!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!
Can't have a horror movie list without this classic. I remember seein' this one and havin' nightmares! Oh it was scary. Still gives me the creeps when I watch it by myself at night. This was another one I got to experience at the drive-in. totally awsome!!!!!
Ok, this one def needs no introduction. If U've never seen this one all I can say is, WHAT ROCK HAVE U BEEN UNDER??? This one is very scary and spooky. To B stuck in the middle of no-where with a chainsaw yielding maniac is def not my idea of a good time. The movie is awesome tho. Once again I was lucky enough to exp this one at the drive-in. Totally awesome exp cuz someone thought it'd B real funny to bring their chainsaw and crank it up in the audience about halfway into the movie. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!Too kewl!!
Ok, I love Stepehn King. I think he is a god when it comes to horror. I've seen this movie like a million times, and read the book prob 2 million times. I always felt so sad and full of rage at the same time for Carrie. How could U not? Those people she went to school with were a bunch of mean, trifling dorks. Burn em' baby, burn em' all!!!
They say when there's no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth. Oooooo, very scary. This movie is def. a good horror movie in my book. Makes ya think, gee how would i handle a situation like that. This is one in a long line of Zombie movies. It all started with Night of the Living Dead, and this is the second in the line. Def recommend renting it sometime if ya can find it.
Newer movies that really impressed and surprised me
The Silence of the Lambs.......................How do I begin on this one. It was such a good movie, it pretty much leaves me speechless now as it did when I first saw it. Everything about this movie was AWESOME. The characters, the music, and everything in between. A definate must see!!!
Ok folks, I know alot of U may not agree with me, but this one was not as good as the first. I highly recommend reading the book on this one instead of watchin' the movie. Don't get me wrong, the movie was good,(if U totally detach it from the first one), Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Lecter was still highly intriuging and sexy in his own way, they just totally changed things in the movie from the way it was in the book. And I'm sorry, but the chick they chose for Starling, ......I'm not even gonna waste my energy to type about it. I was soooooo excited to see this one, and I have to B honest when I say I left the theatre feeling a bit cheated. I recommend catchin' this one AFTER it comes out on video. I payed 7 dollars to see it, and wanted to DEMAND my money back when it was done.Oh well...............
Ok, I had alot of mixed reviews on this one B4 I actually got to see it. And let's just say that when I finally did get to see it, BOY WAS I IMPRESSED!!! This is like major creepville people. Just put yourself in the places of the people in the movie, and really think about what U'd feel and how U'd handle it. I mean, stuck in the woods, in the middle of the night, with eerie noises goin' on all around U. Then, the end sequence with the chick screaming and the dude standing in the corner...............................Brrrrrrrrr. Get goosebumps just thinkin' about it.
 OMIGOD!!!!!!!THIS MOVIE ROCKED MY WORLD!!!!!!!
If Stephen King is a god of horror, then Anne Rice is his godess!! I read the book like 100 times B4 there was even talk about makin' a movie of it. When I first found out that Tom Cruise of all people was to play Lestat I was furious, then I saw him on the screen and he took my breath away. Hey, Brad Pitt wasn't too bad either. The effects in this movie R sometimes hard to catch, but when U do they R some of the most awesome effects for a Vampire movies that I've ever seen.
All of the Vampires were beautiful and eerie at the same time thanx to wonderful makeup people. Can't wait to see if they make anymore of the Vampire Chronicles into movies. I'd sell my soul to see Queen of the Damned made into a movie.
